Norbert Markway started building in 1945 after serving in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War ll. During this time, he specialized in building homes for returning servicemen. In 1949, Norbert created Markway Construction Company. From the beginning, Norbert’s company earned a reputation of providing high quality work at an affordable price.
Over the years, Norbert’s passion helped Markway Construction grow through referrals and reputation alone. The humble business Norbert started in 1949 became one that is respected not only by clients, but also by peers in the construction industry. This respect has shaped his view on the competition: “we have none!”
Markway Construction became a family business in the 1970s. Under Norbert’s mentoring, his sons Bert, Jeff, and Mick joined the company. They worked very hard over the next 45 years, and our family tradition happily continues today today with Nathan and Matt Markway as the third generation.
As we carry the Markway Construction Company into the future, we are guided by Norbert’s commitment to quality, customer service, and craftsmanship.
Matt Markway
Matt has worked for the company for 22 years. After graduating from college, he joined the company as a carpenter. He ran field work for 17 years and has been in an administrative role for the last 5 years.
Nathan Markway
Nathan has worked for the company for 29 years. After college, he joined the company as a carpenter. He ran field work for the company for 24 years and has been in an administrative role over the last 5 years.
